First, I am not adding to the blacklist, I just want comments about him/her. It appeared that the fams were high level, although he/she was lower level so I assume reborn tamer.

I went to a spot with my priest and asked for pt. Response was who are you on old server, alt names, current level, etc. After all of that, the response was I will pt you when I am closer to your level and you are of some use for me. So, I interpret that to mean - no pt unless I need a priest so that he doesn't lower his experience. Des wasn't rude at all, but I was quite disappointed that since only 2 people were in pt that he would intentionally exclude me (although I agree, it is his choice).

First, it is his choice to not pt others so I thanked him and left. Second, is this the common/typical behavior that I should expect as a priest? I remember playing a priest 3 years ago and everyone wanted me in pt (I actually played priest and tried to heal/prevent deaths instead of leeching). If this is my typical response, that is precisely why I am looking to couple ring my alts to be able to plvl myself since nobody wants a priest in pt to lower exp.

OR, is this just poor attitude coming from a tamer that is not typical of others?

This is just Des and his / hers big head. If you saw any Unforgiven member then they would have gave you a party if you were needed or not.

It's actually more common than you'd think. From lvls 1-330 it doesn't happen a ton, but after that, pts seem to be few and far between for a priest. People will love you at places like mm, lich, and nameless sd (although, I have even been denied salty pts because I wasn't 'needed' as a priest), but after that, if you aren't friends with those in the pt, it seems like they don't really want to pt you. I still get denied for pts in the upper floors of swep on a regular basis, and I never sit and leech unless asked to and am always polite.

It's unfortunate, but a lot of people seem to be selfish like that these days. This is why I want to just reskill back to angel... Confused

Dang ppl. they dont realize that priests were saving their a** early in the game.
I preffer to have a priest in pt whenever i can, and even 2 arent bad either, what i cant stand are leechers.
Go go battle priests?

What annoys me is those same people who won't pt you will be the first to ask for help with a quest or for help with taming...

Des has always been like that, and tbh he has more reason than most . he lvls very vey fast, im unsure how many times he has reborn by now but probably more than twice already, and he wont reborn till he is over lvl 300, so yes his pets are very high lvl, this means he kills very fast, so ofc people want to party with him.
he can also be a bit of a prat as well, lol, hes actually very nice once you get to know him, but he wont stand for people who dont add something to the party , but once your in his party , if you can keep up you can really lvl like mad. i could never stay awake long enough to keep up with him lol

yeah, i remember xiaver as a wolf on old server denying my priest a pty in swep 18f+ with the lines i'll never forget "lol, we dont need a priest"....... Evil or Very Mad

well, just make a list of these ppl and remember to rub your refusals of taming help/priest needed SD's in thier faces><

this games community really seems to suck nowadays Sad

god im sounding like lluna (!)....
many times i have tried to organise a steady time for SD everyday...only to have the pty or (obviously) ppl in it screw it all up and go without me.
At least me and feyron are on the same wavelength:)
regular SD partner ftw.

lol "he wont stand for ppl who dont add anything to the pty"?! wtf.. does he think he'll get ...a pty with 1 tamer. 1 priest. 1 witch. 1 squire.1 mage. 1 warrior 1 archer everytime???
there is no diversity in this game so expect to get multiples of the same char in the same pty....and no leechers ofc.

Ironically, he was plvling himself and another tamer atm so adding me would not have lowered exp that much.....

But again, his decision, I am just disappointed since I feel this will be a common trend among others as well.

It kind of makes me want to plvl my priest to show my importance. How easy is it for a mage to kill lvl 500+ fams in GVG? With max Meteor and max EG from a priest and a coupe dhearts?

I had some bittersweet kudos when I did AM SD today. The 2 attacking mobs were surprised that I could keep them healed and buffed the entire time at lvl 81. I also found out that once someone is dlvld, redemption will cure the dlvl quickly so as long as I keep healing, no death Smile

2 warriors were surprised that I knew how to use priest skills....apparently many priests in AM SD range are probably just leveling to be used as a caller, not a true priest.....they were quite appreciative and the SD was fast for only 4 in the group, only 2 were attacking.

tbh as an experienced priest, i see allot of new ppl with priests that dont really know what to do with it, that dont know the value of each skill, dont know how to time their heals. so yes even im suprised when i see a good priest in AM xD

I started RS as a priest and played for 1.5 years without prem. I grinded in pt's A LOT and learned how to be good as a healer and supporter. I actually pt'd in AM SD with a friend who would grind with me since golems on old server and although I am low level, he knew that I can play the priest role, so all was good.

I am still amazed that I never used redemption on old server, let alone knew what it did (i was young, naive and ignorant....)

The other thing I see is some people might make an alt priest specifically for the purpose of call and portal. In that case, they spend the least amount of SP they feel they need for AM SD, which is usually not enough.

Wow I dont know how but I just came across this topic now. Descartes when he played was super awesome and fun to play with.

Descartes was the GM of We Dont Care.

We Dont Care was my guild before Unfo this server, I was in that guild with all of them and we kicked ass. We were way stronger then FAMOUS even. But then the guilds got wiped. Hehe just thought I would share that.
