Ironic, how many peeps here have no clue what AWOL means. I did as I have on multiple occasions had to "retrieve" someone that was AWOL.

Many people just assume it means "missing" or something along the lines.

(It's Away Without Leave for anyone who doesn't know)

AWOL = "Absent Without Leave"

At least acording to the way i have used it in the military here in the States. It is not fun picking up another fellow soldier who has failed to appear for duty as scheduled.

I beleive it to mean absent , but away is as good, and yea it was a good holliday, if you like Tabing up and down hills Smile

which i do, lol. The camp site was bone though, not enough to do in the evening for me, and was too far away from any decent pubs, ah well cant have it all.
