Today I was on my tamer, trying to tame pets. Well, while I was dlvling them, I noticed that when they go back to the original lv, if I dont move myself or them, I seem to be able to tame them. Its hasnt been confirmed, because I got frustrated because I kept killing the mob and missing it, but I would never get the need to lv skill message. Maybe something a GS can pass along. Ill see if I can try again without getting frustrated. Ill edit if I can.

Edit: Actually, as long as I dont move myself, I dont get the message. But the second I move, I get the message.

Can you explain this a little further? I am not fully understanding what you are trying to do and what result you are experiencing. What "skill" are you using on tamer? How did you dlvl them, another character, necro? Or did you wait for praise to wear off?

This is what I am thinking you mean: You dlvl with a necro to tame, and when dlvl wears off, and as long as you do not move, you are still able to tame, even though level range might not be correct?

yeah jim,

necro dlvls
tamer starts spamming bw
dlvl wears off
bw keeps goin.

given that you didnt successfully tame the mobs, i dont think you'll be able to. The missing "you must level up to use this skill" message, doesn't nessessarily mean you'll actually be able to tame it.

i've seen this before as well, with either N.O.J. or dlvl wearing off, the tamer keeps going and going and going, i'm sure if you wait long enough, the message will catch up.

I kept trying, but was never succesful. Maybe your right. It was just really hard to find out because I kept missing and would eventually end up killing it because it would turn on necro and when I would hit it it would die. So, I gave up.

MAGIK to the rescue xD Ok all that is going on is due to the fact that you did not move or perform any other actions nothing has loaded.

BEST EXAMPLE

You could be ksing someone and normally you will get the message saying, this monster is already being attacked by someone else or whatever, BUT, if you keep attacking the monster without re-clicking you will not get the message, however you will continue to kill the monster and get no experience, it is the exact same thing when taming, if you do not move or re-click on the monster, nothing will change or happen, it could technically be considered a bug, but IMO it isn't a bug because a bug would be if gains of some sort are happening when they should not be, now if you WERE to successfully tame the pet when you should not be able to, that would indeed be a bug. Hope this made sense. I am not always the best at explaining things.

I agree that if that is what is happening, assuming you still cannot tame, it is not a bug. But, the message not appearing could be considered a bug (unintentional action contrary to what the coders wanted).

I agree. But, whenever you try to brainwash a mob above the lv you can, it doesnt let you attack. But with this, I am still able to attempt to bw it. Maybe im just looking to much into it, but this isnt over lol. I am tempted to make a full alacrity tamer to see.

JBoy I do advise raising the alacrity on your tamer up, my tamer atm is lvl 223 and I have 280 alac, makes taming super easy.

If you plan to be an avoidance tamer later on you are gonna need either 401 or 801, depending on what type of build you want, me personally, I am going to get 801 alac in the end and just have the rest into luck, because I believe alac is better for avoidance at 801 then 401 anyways. I think my stats right now as a lvl 224 tamer are 80 power, 280 alac, 108 fixed health, 740 ish luck, like 35 knowledge, 280 ish wisdom, and 100 charisma.

As for my tamers gear I basically only have the 185 t set, but then I wear a safe cage and 6% avoidance boots. I am working on getting a ticket to get the 1/2 health anti charger so that way I dont need fixed health, as well I will get another 10% avoidance Very Happy and I also am looking to get 8-12% avoidance shoes/boots or whatever. Yet to find anyone selling, but I know they exist in the server atm. Oh and I wear a +2 skill tat, but I am obviously looking for a +3, and then I also wear luck gloves and cp +76% earrings. As for rings I am not too focused on those until I am higher. But I will probably go for pure charisma rings due to the fact that I am avoidance so I won't be getting hit anyways.

How many people if they see a fly or some other little bug on the monitor hesitate the killing of this creature as it will most likely smear on the display?

/me passes out....
