i mean like i left to mow the lawn and i went afk in guild hall then when i got back the screen was black so i restarted the computer cause cntrl alt delelte wasnt working and the screen was on and everything and when i went to reload redstone it went back to the original page

how do u take a screen shot ill show you

press "F12" in your keyboard and the Image will be sent to the game folder called Screenshots.

Other way to do this, is by pressing the "Impr Pnt " button on your keyboard, and the Image will be kept at the virtual memory of your computer or clipboard, meaning that you have to use a third party program to save it, by pasting it and then saving the results.

If the Redstone is blocked the first one wont be of any use, if you have to restart the computer, and cant use the third party program, then any of these are a solution for you.

ok so i pretty much tried every trick and the book and nothing is working i dont wanna quit so soon Crying or Very sad

when ever i open it, it says
"Cannot Download files from specified address."

im stumped Sad

this is a common problem, you need to contact a gm for an answer though cause i dont know one, but you can make sure your firewall is letting the program through

Enditall,

This tool, will close everysingle program that is not necessary for windows, you might have to authorize the program to kill some processes but that way you might get sure your Firewall is not running, and thus is not part of the problem, sometimes works, not always...

and how am i supposed to let them know if i cant send them messages on redstone forums or in game ?

try changing your ip addres

have you already tryied that?

Does the enditall program worked?

So you dont use any antivirus, or anything similar?

I use Avast Antivirus, its free and very light and friendly, its not a memory eat monster like Nortons products, give it a try, it might find some viruses that are not letting you download it.

There are 2 ways to restart your Ip address try disconecting your router for around 15 min, then connect it again and check if it changed.

try in "Run" of "Start" typing

"command.com"

A black window will appear, if it is in any subfolder, type "cd.." until you reach hard drive folder, there type "ipconfig"

And thats how you check if your ip addres changed or not, ofc you have to check it b4 unplugging.

If it does not work try typing

"ipconfig /release"
after waiting 15 min write
"ipconfig /renew"
And check if the ip changed, if you couldnt change your Ip addres in this way... let me know >.<

alright so i tried what shinji said and everytime i went to open it it would instantly close as soon as it popped up (the black box right?)

anyway im not gonna quit til im sure everyone has no ideas

and i found the thing narok and half the stuff they said confused me Shocked

That patch annoyed me when I was having problems.
I was just continuing and clicking the RS icon to try again and again. After few tries, it downloaded. From that day onwards, I just try to be careful with that. It is basically RS server problem, not ours. So Gm's need to fix the servers for downloading purpose too.
