Dev, as a GS, we work along with the GMs to help plan and run events for the community along with moderating the forums and overall being helpful to the community. We aren't 100% sure on what privileges we will receive yet being that we haven't received them. The main GM wanted to wait until all the GSs could successfully log into the game before he told us what else we'd get. As of now, I believe Munzo and I are the only two left who cannot log in on our mains...

The GS's shouldnt be 'rewarded' in any other way, other than the 'powers' you've been given (or will get, including ingame).
You ALL ran over your grannies to get this 'position' - and as luna said in RS forums "shes honoured" to be given this role.
Keep this role as a 'pro bono'(spelling?) role.
afterall if you start expecting a 'fee' for your service (!) ..eg free orbs...then ppl will start expecting some real work from you all;)
- after all, what have you done so far that couldnt have been done by a GM? (no offense joe, as i know you have tried to keep the flow of information moving).
Lets take the current issues as an example... ppl moan about 'something', then eventually a GM comes online with a placatory line - OR -  ...the GM tells the GS to tell us something placatory...lol...just another cog in the wheel.
Someone will always be there to tell the community "relax ppl, they are working on it, and all be back to normal soon". - and u wanna get paid for doing that? 
and munznab seeing as how hard it is to use the RS forums properly - in comparison to unfo forums - i think ill keep the spam/flames here^^
p.s. and looking at the list of Gs's...i see only one priest and one mage - i.e. the only characters of use to a community - BUFFERS
prepare to help out the community joe and evil - me needs buffs oki:)
and p.p.s. is adam a brit? - im just so dammed nosey:D....and it doesnt need a GS to answer it:P |
First of all, I was never asking to be awarded or compensated in any way for helping out as a GS. I only brought it up because that's what we were told.
And yes, I've been patrolling the forums a bit. I've already had to close and hide a few threads...

yea no way they should get rewarded.
what they do is nothing really amuzing.
there is always ppl that help on forums and help ingame.
what a GS does is gives these helpful ppl a title.
and there should be no reward for being good, everyone needs to be good

OMG Narok everything i write/say/think and do in this GAME is spam to me^^
afterall, what is spam if not the wastage of something..time/space..and energy:P
and playing a game is spam to me - not matter how seriously im seem to take it ^^
but to clarify incase your bam hammer is getting itchy one does not flame..one uses lots of smileys et al to keep my posts light hearted whilst still being able to keep the seriousness of what im trying to say intact.
and Joe...so thats what happened to my "guess the power lvl event locations" game i posted on here a few days ago??? o.O

British are notorius for their...umm, lack of teamwork to put in one way. ThinK of footbal for instance...or umm military mentalites...The americans are all 'gung ho' etc..etc..which is a bonding process for the men. you go into a british workplace and that realy aint the over riding feeling there
Or i felt he was of asian extraction - asians have a wonderful mental discipline about them. stems from having to learn such a vast language system from such a young age. Check school ranking/status reports (or w/e they are called) for proof of thier...errr...'superiority'(?!) in many fields.
Thus...(dam long winded arent i?)....i alwas thought the famous multi acc sharing grinding in shifts pty was because of that.
hope you are all faring well in RS....its oh so quiet in there...unlike my head

| they probabley have a automated system where it picks up certain words in the post. If that post then has thoes words it is fowarded to a human for review before being a live post. |

If it says pending approval, it was most likely done by a GS. Why that particular thread was hidden, I have no idea. Maybe Vans's assumption is correct and they have an automated system, I honestly don't know  |

Since item shop has been brought up at meetings (I know, no date for opening), have they specifically talked about having a "couple ring" as an item for purchase? After premiums, a couple ring is one fo the most valuable pieces of items IMO.

i made a thread in general section....but you guys know im new re. newb at this foruming lark.....
but there is no 'cancel' option when making a new thread ..i just tested it..;p..preview and submit is all there is - apart from the 'x' at the top right hand corner of my screen :p
so yeah...my attempts at humour fall on deaf ears^^

hmmm and what with MrDave closeing a topic about 'how can i find amcii'...im feeling a bit amendment shy/curtailed in my freedom of speech (freedom of free speechy one?). Noone was asking for amciis info - as such - more on, how to find him. afterall, most ppl (not me:P) know forums have a PM function to contact amcii to tlk with him. And i soooo wanted to see amciis reply to my last post on there....lol:D
anyway......a thought accured to me about the suitability of some the of GS choices. We have in that list ppl who do and or been accused of: botting/autoing/acc sharing/t set camping/SW spawn killing/ and im sure ppl can add more.. ....forums nazi'ing could be another, albiet a bit controversiol in its name.
all things which affect (negatively?) our gampeplay at some point. - and they made these ppl 'our overlords'...o.O
You all know by now my views on this 'title'. so i hope i am not the only one to think like this - though history has shown(and proven) to me, that i am one of the few who act on it..:/
