Overall, we did a great job and I would like to thank everyone who showed up. It was fun
Couple things I wanted to mention, though. Some of you guys still need to work on trying to stick together. When Mac and I were calling you guys off to the side repeatedly, there was a reason for it. Please do not run off on your own. I know a few of you guys get excited and trigger happy, but try and control yourselves lol. Also, pay attention to the chats if I'm trying to tell you something. There priest was killed once (which I believe to be an accident), but just make sure you're paying attention. I know they were complaining a lot... most likely because they were getting their asses handed to them, but be as respectful as possible. I didn't think anyone was too bad tonight, just try and keep in mind that it's one thing to win, but if you rub their noses in it that's an opponent that may not be willing to fight us in the future.
Most of this is just a reminder for future GvGs. I'm not picking on anyone. Overall, we did a great job
Here are the results along with one of the few kills I got

everything is fine joe, no worries. i knew that you would post something up about this GVG so i took the liberty of talking with Akiles awhile after the match. he was upset about things, but he said we could still GVG them and they dont have a problem with us. and i agree with the whole sticking together thing...although i know i ran off once or twice because i dont like being super close after a call so i click-off of the group a small tad. but yea guys were 2 for 2!! lets keep the momentum going and win us some more GVG's and hopefully a lvl3 GH this saturday!! we have a reputation to live up to!! UNFORGIVEN 4 LIFE!!
..well until we get shut down that is. _________________ It aint a game, namsayen? |

Ok, cool. They were a nice opponent, friendly and respectful. I wouldn't mind GvGing them anytime. |

When I logged in last night, the GVG already started. I have a thief in eclipse and jim and my mage in Unfo. I saw their GC and the main complaints I saw was that we were attacking their priest. Apparently their priest (Heavenwrath), ackowledged he was being dispelled, but never ran out of cp. Akiles was the most vocal, but I saw nothing in their GC that was a direct complaint, more whining because they lost..... Heat, although lvl 380+, has only been playing for about 3-4 months. He was just surprised at some of the buffs and skills of others since some of us have so much time into this game that modifying the builds slightly makes so much difference.
I have lots of friends in eclipse and I GVG'd vs another guild recently in which rooney's alt is in (Internet). Internet owned me in 2 throws!! Eclipse never killed any of the other guild in that gvg, so they improved last night at least =)
Sounds like you all did well, GZ and sry I missed it!! _________________ Y2K11 - Thief

they gvg'd genocide? holy krap i'd like to have been there, mary might've got a kill
i have a huge problem with the "dont kill the priest" rule, being an effective priest, you gotta be in the thick of it, meaning you gotta take damage, and stay on your feet, i'm assuming HW is fairly new to gvg, and when (she? i thought i heard her say she was DW's daughter, ne way) went down, i'm pretty sure she'd run out of cp, this happens a lot when spamming heals, arch shuts off, ele aoe's dont discriminate, and priests go down. my best advice for gvg: Stash a low level caller somewhere on the map, doesnt have to be fulll time, just someones alt, standing by for the inevitable call/rev/rebuff.
sidenote: unless the pt i'm in is 90% wiped out, i wont run off and call, should this happen it's for a reason. i'm not tryin to beat a dead horse here but i wanna be sure people know what i'm up to.
come siege war time, when we attack, i use a "ninja priest" technique, i'm fairly sure (75%) unfo has been the victim of this, ITS SUPER IMPORTANT to keep control, and not go running wild when i call you to a dark lil hidden spot out of sight of the other guild, i'm not saying i body stack, i'm saying i let the other guild get distracted, then we strike, and take the door/strat/emblem down idealy without ever being detected.
imo gvg is practice for siege, its a way to see how your build stacks up to other players, and get used to teamwork, build strategies using what recources we have, and becoming a guild hall taking machine.
good work yesterday guys, i found i didnt have to do a whole lot ( i turned arch off a few mins in dunno if anyone noticed, thats a good thing ^^)
lol turned into a kinda wordy post, coffee just kicked in _________________
