Great...another publisher to slow things down.
I assume I should give them the benefit of the doubt, but basing it on er...previous experience it doesn't sound good to me. _________________ Southern_Cross 22X Lancer

I just hope (for selfish reasons) that some of the following are accomplished:
1. Item shop
2. New content added (MQ's)
3. Add alternate servers to reduce lag (was spoiled by server in USA)
4. GM's in game
5. allow GVG's to be booked 24 hours a day _________________ Y2K11 - Thief

I read this on their official website as well. I'm not exactly sure what to think about it, though. I've had great experiences with OG games in the past. Active gms, they held frequent in game events, and the support was good also. On top of that, I think switching over to OG should introduce some new players to our game, which we desperately need. The one thing I'm a bit worried about, however, is whether this may turn into another K2 situation where there isn't enough communication between the two companies and we end up needing to wait for weeks or even months to get anything fixed or new content released. In the past, OG Planet was always good about fixing bugs and releasing new things into the game, but with Red Stone, it might not be their choice. I'm just basing that off of what we were told from K2, though. Who knows how much of that was true, and how much of it was just their incompetence. |

That makes me feel quite a bit better. I had never heard of OG Planet prior to this. Knowing that they've managed other games well makes me considerably more optimistic about the situation. How one game is managed by a company is often very, very correlated with how their other games are managed. Just try any of K2's other games to see what I mean.
And of course, some fresh blood would be nice. I'd like to see separate language servers. The two that come to mind are English(ofc) and Portuguese. _________________ Southern_Cross 22X Lancer

Yeah, I have faith in their GMs. They held quite a few events when I played Lost Saga and were great about releasing content on the date they scheduled. I also had a nice experience with needing to have a GM change one of my event times for me. They responded same day and gave my team a new schedule. It was quite nice
I'm not worried about new server, I just want some more content. I'm going to be pissed, however, if they make us start over yet again.
And on a side note, I believe OGPlanet uses game guard. They did with the game of theirs that I played, anyway. |

They wont make us start again...
It seems a bad move for me, I would perfer they do it direct and cut out these dam middle men. |

It's probably easier for them, though, plus the language barrier seems to make it hard for them to provide us with any gms. I would prefer not to have a middle man as well, but from their perspective, I can see why they do it. |

Its the Item shop they have a hard job doing for GM's in game I would rather not have any... IF no in game GM no chance for them to add a chance of curroption.
The only benefit of them doing this is adding to its player base.
It must be hard for anyone new joining red stone at least half of newcomers get sucked into back elf leveling and then not know how to play there char...
We will need a level cap of 200+ just to avoid these nabs joining us. |

I think we are fine for the time being. I haven't accepted anyone under 120 in quite a while. I also think it's important to not recruit exclusively based off level. You can end up adding lvl 200+ people who don't train or sign in at all, which isn't helping the guild either. Take Lordo and Mystify as another example. I added these guys roughly 3 or 4 weeks ago when they were around lvl 50. Both of them are active, talk in guild chat, are willing to help out with various things, and are both around lvl 200 now. I would much rather get members like them than just recruit someone because they meet a level requirement.
Now, I do agree that a lvl requirement is important, but I also think a person's willingness to play and be active should be taken into account. This is why I talk to and ask everyone questions before they're able to join.
As for raising the requirement to join once our server gets moved yet again, I was thinking about this as well and am going to have to agree with you guys. I don't have anything against noobies, but at least the noobies who were being added before knew what they were doing, for the most part.
And NNico, I'm going to have to completely disagree with you. Just because someone might not be great in gvg (I'm going to assume this is what you mean by their not being useful until lvls 200+) doesn't mean they can't help out the guild. Just about every week, if not every week, we have a couple guys under lvl 200 attend our pws. They might not be the guy doing the most damage/killing the most monsters, but they're still doing their part to help the guild and we still manage to get scores above 5 million. Lower lvl guys can also still collect elements and keep the guild chat active, which in my opinion is extremely important. People withdraw from guilds all the time because of a "dead chat". So don't count out our lvls so quickly, guys. They're just as important as everyone else and can still contribute. |
