well aproxis i thought you's were a GS around the time i was. it was [GS]Aproxis back then, but now Aproxiss? wth.

Yup. It went like this:

1: Tried to create Aproxis, but was in use, someone stole my name
2: I made Aproxiss
3: I became GS and asked if they could make it [GS]Aproxis, with 1 s.
4: Someday I checked again if I could create Aproxis, I could, the name stealer must have been deleted after we switched to OGP.
5: I kept a char called Aproxis there so no one would steal it again.
6: I was away from game for a while and my GS position was taken away from me.
7: Since Aproxis was in use now they changed it back to Aproxiss
8: After several tickets and PMs on the GS's I, still not changed to Aproxis

Yeah, but that was back before guilds were fixed. Now, when they have to change a name, it can cause weird problems with the database.... Just ask Narok lol

Funny thing is that an old GM sent me a private message just when they took my position as a GS. Saying they could not change my name back to Aproxis because they wanted my approval to delete my level 1 char. hehe. So he said if I deleted that char he''d change my name back to Aproxis. Well he''s a GM on another game now and a rude jerk. Only reply I had on my request was not to send private messages to him anymore regarding red stone. That''s all.. not that he tried to contact another GM for me that is on RS. Oh and also I had them on MSN and they had never blocked nor deleted me. When I asked them to change my IGN they just blocked me without reply :S Some rude ass fucks I say. Much for a ty for my services earlier this server..

IDENTICAL THING HAPPENED TO ME.

1. Tried to make Seridor, didn't work so made Southern_Cross.
2. Eventually made Seridor.
3. Became GS, [GS]Southern_Cross was too long and bugged chat, so I became [GS]Seridor.
4. Was booted from GS position for inactivity, Seridor was taken(by myself), and so was Southern_Cross(again, by myself), so I became Seridorr.
5. Had pm on forums from Firedrop saying a name change would be offered.
6. By the time I got back, Firedrop didn't work for RS.
7. Some GS(I think it was Joe) told me to try asking a current GM.
8. Deleted Southern_Cross, pmmed Sylidar on forums.
9. He happened to be online at the time, changed my name back no questions asked.

So yeah, try asking one of the current GMs nicely. I'm sure they'll do it for you(make sure to delete Aproxis first).

EDIT: Oh. Didn't read your last post all the way through. Try asking through forum pm, preferably to Sylidar.

No, we all made low lvl alts with our original names so people couldn't take them.
